SPRINGFIELD - Joyce Aileen Doyel, 74, of Springfield and formerly of the Wrights area passed away Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012 at her home in Springfield. She was born Feb. 26, 1938 in Wrights, the daughter of Richard Leo and Alma Marie Maberry Doyel.
Surviving are one sister, Joan McGee of Colville, WA; three nephews, Ricky (Gwen) McGee, Phillip (Cindy) McGee, Steven (Connie) McGee; four nieces, Laura Eileen (Tom) Helper, Joyce Ann (Jeff) Smith, Suzanne (Stacy) Chambers, and Richelle Brimlow; several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Don McGee.
Joyce was a member of the Springfield Southern Baptist Church. The Franklin Life Insurance Company in Springfield employed her until her retirement. Joyce most of all loved her friends from work and her family.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7th at the Daws Family Funeral Home, 508 W. Vandalia, South Jacksonville. Visitation will be held Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Hickory Grove Cemetery near Wrights. Memorials are suggested to the Springfield Baptist Church building fund or the Hickory Grove Cemetery. Condolences may be left online at www.mackeydaws.com.
