Dale H. Walker of Redmond died of cancer July 10, 2000, at his home in Redmond. He was 58. Mr. Walker was born July 14, 1941, in Kirkland. He graduated in 1959 from Lake Washington High School. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Washington State University in 1964, and a year later earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics. On June 6, 1964, he married Mary R. Winship in Warden. Mr. Walker worked as a computer systems analyst at The Boeing County for 35 years. He served as a youth soccer coach for 15 years, and he enjoyed playing softball and attending WSU football games with family and friends. In addition to his wife, Mr. Walker is survived by two sons, Erik Walker of Bellevue and Ryan Walker of Cashmere; mother Mary Fowler of Kirkland; brother Dennis Walker of Portland, Ore.; and sister Deahn Compton of Redmond. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Green's Colonial Chapel in Kirkland. Memorial donations may be sent to either the American Cancer Society, E. King County Unit, 14450 N.E. 29th Place, Suite 220, Bellevue, WA or to the Swedish Hospital Foundation Cancer Research Fund, 747 Summit, Seattle, WA.
