Notes |
- Excerpts from the story published in the Lexington Herald, January 8, 1963
Lawrenceburg, Ky., Jan. 7 - A blind, retired farmer died today of burns suffered at his home in Anderson County, Dec. 14.
Elmer Caldwell, 67, died at 12:25 a.m at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He had been transferred there from the King's Daughters Hospital in Frankfort, to which he was taken after the accident.
Mrs. Dora Caldwell, a sister-in-law with whom Caldwell resided, said the bland man's clothing caught fire from a stove at their home at Sinai. He had been left by himself only a few minutes, she added.
