  Pioneer News, March 6, 2013 Marthalene S. Davis, 88, of Shepherdsville, died on Tuesday, March 5, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Whorley and Nona Speaks; husband, David Davis Sr.; brothers, Lynden and Owen Lee Speaks; and sister, Margaret Speaks. She is survived by her daughters, Glenda (Rick) Spurling and Sherry (Buddy) Maraman; sons, David Jr. and Michael (Lisa) Davis; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday at Shepherdsville Christian Church in Shepherdsville with burial in Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. on Thursday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home in Shepherdsville and on Friday after Noon at the church.
