Randolph Baldwin born, January 31, 1926, left his earthly home in
Nashville, Tenn., to be in his Heavenly home on October 11, 2009. Randolph
spent his early life in Roanoke. He married Shirley Minnix in 1954 and moved
to Nashville, Tenn., where he was employed as an optician for 46 years. He is
survived by his loving wife Shirley; and two brothers, Morris of Roanoke, and
Nelson of Richmond. Preceding him in death were his father and mother; seven
brothers; and two sisters. This sweet, loving husband, brother, uncle and
friend will be missed by all. Our generous Lord has blessed his family and
friends with 83 years of unending love and joy. His memory will live on.
Donations, in his memory, may be made to the Belmont Baptist Church, Roanoke,
Va., or Alive Hospice, Nashville, Tenn. Visitation will be held 9 a.m. at
Oakeys in downtown Roanoke on Thursday, October 15, 2009. The graveside
services and interment will be after visitation 11 a.m. at the Fair View
Cemetery, Roanoke, Va., conducted by two of his nephews, Winston Baldwin and
Mike Minnix. Arrangements by Oakeys Roanoke Chapel, 540-982-2100.
