      Doris Elaine Baker Smallwood, 61, of Lovettsville, Va., died Wednesday, October 20, 2004, at Capital Hospice in Arlington County, Va. Born on January 9, 1943 in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Jasper Lewis Baker and the late Catherine Virginia Harne Baker. Doris was a very active member of Bethel Lutheran Church. She served as a member of the Church Council, and played the organ. She also sang with the singing seniors at Loudoun Nursing and Rehabilitation in Leesburg, Va. Although, her biggest love was being mom and maw maw. She is survived by her husband Harvey Aldridge Smallwood of Lovettsville; one daughter, Mae Starke of Lovettsville, Va.; one son, Lewis and daughter-in-law, Tammy Smallwood of Lovettsville, Va.; one brother, George Baker of Lovettsville, Va.; plus three grandchildren, Shelby, Tyler and Cody; and numerous cousins. Arrangements are being handled by Loudoun Funeral Chapels, Brown Funeral Home, 34 East Broadway, Lovettsville, Va., where the family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2004. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Saturday, October 23, 2004 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery in Lovettsville, Va. Donations may be made to Capital Hospice Attn. Donation Processing, 9300 Lee Highway, Suite 500, Fairfax, VA 2031-1207.
