- The funeral for Dorothy Wethington, 87, who died Sunday, March 26, 1989 at LaVette County Medical Center in Parsons, KS., will be at 2 p.m. Thurs. at Helena First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Mike Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in Timberlake Cemetery near Jet, OK., directed by Kenny Lanman Funeral Home, Helena, OK.
She was born March 12, 1902, near Goltry, OK., to John R. and Josephine Wethington. She graduated from Goltry High School. She was a member of Helena Methodist Church and a 60-year member of Order of the Eastern Star. She had lived on the family farm until 1975 when she moved to Helena. She moved to Parsons, KS. about three years ago.
Surviving are one sister, Maud Young of Parsons, KS.; three nephews and one niece.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Heart Association.
