Betty Sue spent many years in local PTAs and served as a volunteer at the Fauquier Hospital Thrift Shop. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church. As a couple Ned and Betty Sue were dedicated Hokie fans and spent many years enjoying the company of the Fun Club, they also relaxed at the Fauquier Swim Club and the Fauquier Springs Country Club and spent much time traveling. She is survived by her brother, Thomas T. Potterfield of Savannah, GA and four daughters, Susannah Tyler of Orange, VA, Roxanne (Dennis) Dinneen of Warrenton, VA, Elizabeth Betsy (Greg) Feldman of Roanoke, VA and Ruth Evelyn Eve (Tom) Roemhildt of Midlothian, VA.
