| Joseph Lewis Virts and Sarah A. Long Joseph was born June 21, 1839 in Lovettsville, Virginia to Adam and Susan Ann Lilly Virts. He died January 21, 1911 in Lovettsville. He married Sarah A. Long on October 8, 1859. She was born January 18, 1832 in Loudoun County Virginia. She died April 7, 1925 in Lovettsville. Both are buried in Mt. Olivet Methodist Church Cemetery in Lovettsville Virginia.

Mrs. Sarah A. Virts, widow of Joseph L. Virts, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. M. Nisewarner near Lovettsville, Va. on Tuesday morning of last week after a lingering illness. Mrs. Virts was ninety-one years of age and her death was due to infirmities of age. She had spent her entire life in Loudoun county. She leaves besides her daughter, Mrs. Nisewarner, two sons John R. Virts of Maryland and George W. Virts of Lovettsville. Interment was at Mt. Olivet Methodist Cemetery, Lovettsville.
