  Roanoke Times, March 19, 2001 BOWMAN, Susie, 87, of Boones Mill, died Saturday, March 17, 2001 at her residence. She was born in Camden, Ind. and was a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren. Surviving are her husband, John S. Bowman; one daughter, Elsie Wray and husband, Leonard of Pomona, Kan.; three sons, Jerry L. Bowman and wife, Loretta of Pendleton, Ind., Harvey J. Bowman and wife, Betty of West Alexandria, Ohio, Howard O. Bowman and wife, Mildred of Boones Mill; 14 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bessie Rutrough and husband, Joel of Boones Mill, Fannie Jamison and husband, Joel of Rocky Mount; one sister-in-law, Alma Beckner of Arcanum, Ohio; and a host of nieces and nephews.
