  Fulton Sun-Gazette, July 28, 1967 Mrs. Emma Thurston, 703 Nichols St., died at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Callaway Hospital, where she had been a patient for two weeks. She was born July 21, 1881, in Callaway County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Newton Sitton. Her husband, Millard Thurston, died in 1939. Mrs. Thurston attended William Woods College and was a teacher at the School for the Deaf for a number of years. She was a member of the Court Street Methodist Church and the Order of the Easten Star. She is survived by a brother, Howard Sitton, Kentucky, a nephew, Robert Sitton, Verona, Wis., one other nephew and four nieces. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Maupin Funeral Home, with Rev. Vergil Eaton officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
