      Charles Town, W. Va. - Mrs. Gladys Ruth (Peachie) Rogers, 43, died Sunday in Charles Town Hospital.

      Born in Charles Town, she was the daughter of Marty Furntney Darr and the late Henry Forrest Darr. She formerly was employed with the Badger-Powhatan Co., Ranson, and was a waitress at the local races tracks. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

      Surviving, in addition to her mother, are four children, Mrs. Thomas Walsh of Rockville, Md., Ramona rogers, William and Thomas Rogers, all at home.; two grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Ozzie Wathem of Clinton, Md., Mrs. Stanley Grubbs of Smithsburg, Md., and Mrs. Louis Petrucci of Charles Town.

      Services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home. The Rev. Owen Womac and the Rev. David Dawson will officiate. Burial will be in Edge hill Cemetery.

      The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 7 to 9.
