Claude Trapnell Compher, Ballenger Creek road, died at Montebello State Hospital, Baltimore, Tuesday evening at 6:45 o'clock after an immediate illness of six weeks. He was aged 69 years and was a son of the late J. Frank and Annie V. Simmons Compher. He was a member of St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a well-known truck farmer. Surviving are his wife, Mr. Vallie Veirtz Compher; one son, Atlee C. V. Compher, Sr., at home. He was the last of his immediate family. Three grandchildren survive. The body rest at the funeral home, 106 East Church street, and will be removed to this home on the Ballenger Creek road Thursday morning where friends may call until nine o'clock Friday, at which time the body will be removed to the funeral home where services will be held at two o'clock in the afternoon. Interment in Frederick Memorial Park. M. R. Etchinson and Son funeral directors.
