William Edgar Virts was born November 1, 1878 in Waterford, Virginia to Joseph Irrael and Annie Elizabeth Virts Virts. He died November 4, 1963 in Frederick, Maryland. He married Susannah Vickers on February 15, 1905. She was born July 27, 1887 in Loudoun County Virginia and died May 19, 1956 in Frederick, Maryland. Both are buried in the Union Cemetery in Leesburg, Virginia. |

William Edgar Virts, South Market street, died Monday at 6 p.m. at Frederick Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for three days. He was 85 years old and the widower of the Mrs. Susanna Vickers Virts.
Born in Waterford, Va., he was the son of the late Joseph I. and Anna Virts. Mrs. Virts was employed as a night watchman at Frederick Iron and Steel for three years and delivered papers for Orrisons West Patrick street, for 20 years.
He is survived by two sons, Howard F. Virts, this city; Charles Virts, California; four daughters, Mrs. Jess Wiles, Mrs. Raymond Speaks, Mrs. Thomas Kefauver, all of this city; Mrs. Grace Steele, Baltimore; one sisters, Mrs. George Moss, Leesburg, Va.; twenty grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
The body is at the funeral home, 106 East Church street, where friends may call after 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Friday at 11 a.m. Interment will be made in Leesburg Union Cemetery, Leesburg, Va. M. R. Etchison and Son, funeral directors.
