  Jefferson County, West Virginia Birth Records. Obituary: Source Unknown. Garland L. Virts, died Monday in the Charles Town General Hospital where he was taken by Independent Fire Company ambulance after being stricken at his home. A lifelong resident of Jefferson County, he was born at Shenandoah Junction, April 7, 1898, son of Lewis J. and Minnie Bell Riley Virts. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ethel Royer Virts, at the home; one son Lewis Royer Virts, Bunker Hill; two sisters, Mrs. Charles F. Snyder, Shenandoah Junction, and Mrs. Shirley E. Alger, Charles Town.
