GOODE, Mary Deitrick, of Moseley, took the final steps in her lifelong journey toward Heaven on July 26, 2007. As she reached the mountain-top, God reached down and took her outstretched hand as she entered Heaven's gates joyfully to meet her Saviour face to face. There to be reunited with her beloved husband, Sydnor, who has been waiting there since May 10, 1978 and also her dear granddaughter, Nancy Lee Ittner, who went there ahead of her on August 16, 1998. She was the oldest child of Claude and Nellie Deitrick's seven children, born April 1, 1909. Her sisters, Effie B. Hall, Nellie Ruth Lawrence, Edith Deitrick; and brother, Raymond E. Deitrick preceded her; and she is survived by brother, Jacob L. Deitrick; and sister, Hilda A. Howard; daughter, Nancy; son-in-law, Burley Spivey; grandson, Bryan Spivey and his wife, Holly; and great-grandchildren, Alex and Darian Spivey, Jason Ittner and his wife, Ashley, all of Moseley, Va., Kristin Summers and her husband, Michael, of Amelia, Va.; daughter, Mary L.
