Deceased Name: AMOS Howard W. Amos
AMOS Howard W. Amos, age 93, formerly of Upper Arlington and Worthington, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 10, 2007 at his home at Trillium Place where he has resided the last two years. He was born August 15, 1913 in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late William E. and Wilhemina (Hamm) Amos. He was a Special Agent of the FBI retiring in 1963 after 22 years of service. He then became a corporate attorney on the staff of Ohio Secretary of State Ted Brown's staff retiring in 1977. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Catherine (Kephart) Amos; daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine and Ernest Rubadue, of Savannah, GA, Barbara (Randal) Roessler, of Winter Park, FL and Margaret Amos, of Columbus; grandchildren, Jeffrey Rubadue, Michael (Anne Marie) Rubadue, Roxzanne (Michael) Amos and W. Justin (Amy) Ried; great grandchildren, C. Ross Rubadue, Anna Fricks Rubadue, Ryan Amos, Annabelle Ried and Hope Ried; several nieces and nephews and many friends. He graduated from University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and a Master's Degree from Wharton School of Finance and Commerce and received his L.L.B degree from Temple University Law School in 1941. Howard was also a music promoter and began his own company, VIP Consultants. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church; the Republican Glee Club and the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI. A Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2001 Northwest Boulevard, where family where receive friends immediately following the service. Pastor Stephen Wachtman officiating. Those who wish may contribute to the Memorial Fund c/o Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2001 Northwest Blvd., Columbus, OH 43212, in his memory. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Odyssey Hospice and at Trillium Place for the loving care given to Howard.
