- Laura Cross Hunt, 94, a longtime resident of Herndon, died April 4 at Reston Hospital.
She was born March 12, 1909 in Loudoun County to the late Wilmer Benjamin and Geneva Laws Hunt Cross. She was the widow of the late Robert Edward Lee Hunt. She served as a Fairfax County teacher and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Herndon.
Survivors include her children, Laura Lee Simpier, Harriet Hunt and Janice Giuliano; two grandchildren, Cindy Giuliano and Deborah Muchenback; four great-grandchildren, Jason and Alex Muchenback, Chris Riley and Rachel Aaron; and one great-great-grandson, Zander Riley.
Services were scheduled for April 9 at the First Baptist Church of Herndon, with interment at Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made in her name to First Baptist Church of Herndon, 681 Elden St., Herndon, Va. 20170.
