Mr. Arnold Filmore "Jake" Nalley, 83, 0f 610 W. Patrick St., Frederick, died Friday, Oct. 4, at the Frederick Health Care Center.
He was the husband of Margaret Abert Etzler Nalley, his wife of 35 years.
Born March 251, 1913, in Brunswick, he was a son of the late Jacob F. and Norma Knadler Nalley.
Mr. Nalley was a former chief of police in Brunswick for several years and most recently employed with the Ox Fibre Brush Co. of Frederick until its closing.
He was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Moose Lodge 1582, Brunswick , and Steadman-Keenan American Legion Post 96, Brunswick. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.
Surviving in addition to his wife are one daughter, Norma J. Misner and husband Dan of Rocky Ridge; one son, Raymond Lee Nalley and wife Barbara Jean of Frederick; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Edward C. Nalley of Boonsboro; and one sister, Ethel Viola Peyton of Reisterstown.
Mr. Nalley was preceded in death by a son, Arnold Clinton Nalley; and two brothers, Ernest J. Nalley and Howard C. Nalley.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Graveside funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, in Locust Valley Bible Church Cemetery, Marker Road, Burkittsville, with the Rev. Duane I Beck officiating.
Arrangements are by Stauffer Funeral Home, Frederick.
