Funeral Wednesday, October 31, from above residence at 1:30 p.m., thence to St. Marks Episcopal Church, 3?sup?rd?/sup? and A sts. s.e., at 2 o'clock p.m. Relatives and friends invited. Interment in Cedar Hill cemetery.

Retired from Washington, D.C. Fire Dept about Sept 1 1922. He was last posted at Engine 25 in Congress Heights when it was still largely rural/suburban. He drove the chiefs buggy with a well-known horse named 'Old Joe'.
