      Ms. Virgie Louise Williams

      Ms. Virgie Louise Williams, 96, of Lovettsville, Va., died April 7, at the home of her granddaughter, Theresa Shillingburg, while under the care of Hospice.

      Born March 3, 1908, in Taylorstown, Va. She was the daughter of the late Charles Edward Cooper and Henrietta Theresa Newton Cooper.

      She was a member of the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church in Taylorstown, Va., and she was a homemaker.

      She leaves six grandchildren, Theresa Shillingburg of Rippon, Crystal Roberts of Kearneysville, Keith Williams of Rippon, Carroll Williams of Martinsburg, Garry Williams of Smyrna, Ga., and Sue Moats of Pennsylvania. She also leaves 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

      Mrs. Williams is the last of her immediate family and was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll O. Williams, her two sons, Carlton L. Williams and Wendell L. Williams, and her two sisters, Myrtle Baker and Dorothy Maddox.

      The family will receive friends Friday, April 9, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home.

      The funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2004, at 1 p.m. at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church in Taylorstown, Va., with Pastor Carroll Williams and the Rev. Tricia Riggs, with viewing one hour prior to services.

      Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
