  Obituary of Vonda C. Taylor. Preston County News. Terra Alta, WV. Nov. 11, 1980. Abstract--age 68, of Newburg, died Nov. 6. She was born Aug. 2, 1912 at Newburg, d/o the late E.B.F. and Minnie Combs Shay. She was the church organist at Shay's Chapel for 56 years. Survivors include two sons, Larry D. of Morgantown and Arthur B. of Martinsburg; two daughters, Mrs. Darold (Sue) Cassady of Tunnelton and Mrs. Donald (Janet) Shaffer of Newburg; one brother, Ezra Shay of Tunnelton. She was preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters, one son and her husband Oscar Taylor in June 1980. Burial was in Shay's Chapel Cemetery.
