  Newark Advocate, September 5, 1932 John Parker, 80, died this morning at 7:30 o'clock, in his home in Waterworks road. He had been ailing some time. He was born and reared in Mary Ann township and is the last of his generation. He was a member of the Disciple church of Rocky Fork. He leaves his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Cora Mount of the home; four sons, Theodore Parker of Wilkins Corners, Alva and Roland Parker of Newark and Melvin of the home; also seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Pleasant View church and burial will be made in Barnes cemetery. Funeral directors Criss Brothers.
