Loudoun Times Mirror, August 20, 1942. Harold P. Virts, 41, died of
self-inflicted gun shot wounds at his home at Knoxville on Tuesday night, his death thought due to despondency. For twenty-six years he had been employed by the B & O Railroad in the shops at Brunswick. He was a son of George and Levia Roller Virts of Lovettsville, who survive him together with his wife and a son and two daughters. Sergeant Stanley Virts of Fort Belvoir, Mrs. Emory Baker of Frederick, and Miss Kathleen Virts at home. Also does he leave two brothers and sisters, Lloyd Virts, Lovettsville, Roy Virts, Frederick, Mrs. Pauline Green and Mrs. Virginia Nelson, Lovettsville. Interment was in the Union Cemetery, Lovettsville.
