  Frederick Post, December 16, 2002 Mrs. Catherine Virginia Nelson, 85, a lifelong resident of Lovettsville, Va., died Friday, Dec. 13, in Leesburg, Va. Born Oct. 1, 1917, in Lovettsville, she was a daughter of the late George and Olivia Virts Washington. She was the wife of James Lee Nelson, her husband of 63 years. Mrs. Nelson was a homemaker and a lifelong active member of Mount Olivet United Methodist Church, Lovettsville. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Bernard C. Nelson of Biloxi, Miss., and Merhle E. Nelson of Charles Town, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Josh Nelson, Tami Barnes, Alisa Lancaster and Lora Kivell; and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by a son, James Lee Nelson Jr., in 1970. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, at Loudoun/Brown Funeral Home, 34 E. Broadway, Lovettsville. The family will be present from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, at Mount Olivet United Methodist Church, 11783 Mountain Road, Lovettsville.
