Mrs. Mabel Ruth Virts died Thursday, May 17, at the Charles Town General Hospital after a long illness. She was a former resident of Brunswick, widow of the late Stanley E. Virts. She was born in Loudoun County, Va., Jan 25, 1898. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bertie Fauver Hamilton.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Bertha V. Farmer, Gapland, Md. and one son, Clarence W. Kennan of Knoxville, one sister, Mrs. Ardele Sugars of Bluemont, Va., 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
The body will rest at the Eackles Funeral Chapel in Harpers Ferry where services will be held at the funeral chapel Saturday. John Hamilton will officiate and burial will be at the Knoxville Reformed Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Eackles Funeral Chapel Friday evening from 7-9 p.m.
