Police said the men were injured when a disabled tank truck they were working on in the American Oil Co. section of the storage area started up unexpectedly and ran over them.
James Francis Ramey, 62, of 6001 N. Washington Blvd., Arlington, was pronounced dead on arrival at Fairfax Hospital following the accident at 7:30 a.m.

Cpl. H. L. Allen of the Fairfax City police said the men, utility workers form American Oil, were trying to charge a dead battery in the tank truck with a power unit.

Rameys chest was crushed when the left front wheel rolled over him, while Henderson apparently was injured by the driveshaft and other parts of the rigs undercarriage, Allen Reported.
