Mrs. Leona P. Virts Tressler of Jefferson, the widow of Carl Tressler, died Wednesday afternoon at Vindobona Convalescent Home after an immediate illness of several weeks. She was born in Loudoun County, Virginia on November 13, 1899 and was a daughter of the late Luther and Nora Tritapoe Mann.
Surviving is a son, Harold S. Virts of Frederick; two daughters, Mrs. Emory Baker of Jefferson, and Mrs. Alvie Ridgley of Frederick; a sister, Mrs. Lester Rollins of Frederick, two brothers, Addison Mann of Burkittsville, and Garland mann of Purdum, Md.; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Tressler was a member of Jefferson Lutheran Church and the Frederick Chapter, 317, Women of the Moose.
Friends may call at the Etchison and Son Funeral home Thursday and Friday evenings from 7 to 9. Services will be conducted from the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. by the pastor, the Rev. Walter F. Tappert. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Lovettsville.
