  Obituary, The Roanoke Times, October 31, 2005 Lydia Elizabeth Boone Rutrough, 70, of Rocky Mount passed away Friday, October 28, 2005 at her home. She was born December 7, 1934, the daughter of I. Cline and Maggie Bowman Boone. Lydia was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Ruth, one brother, Robert and two infant grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Albert L. Rutrough; five children, Christine and husband, Robert Heffley of Rocky Mount, Lorraine and husband, Ray Hubbard of Troutville, Gordon and wife, Carla of Wirtz, Sharon, Rocky Mount, Mollie R. and husband, Andrew Adams of Wirtz; 14 grandchildren, Kendra Bolton and husband Eric, Kristi Ulrich and husband Shawn, Amanda Campbell and husband Dennis, Laura Heffley, Curt Hubbard, Justin, Simon, Natalie, John Tyler, Bailey and Sallie Rutrough, Ethan, Kyle and Chelsie Adams; seven great-grandchildren, Hunter, Bradley, Jonah, Timothy and Grace Bolton, Jarrett and Braylee Ulrich; five sisters, Ena Miller of Elida, Ohio, Dorothy Layman, Ruby Taylor of Wirtz, Susie and Ezra Bowman, Dora and Marion Austin of Rocky Mount; six brothers, Arthur and Rowena Boone of Vinton, Samuel and Eva Boone of Brookville, Ohio, Ezra Boone of San Diego, Calif., Joel and Phyllis Boone of Covington, Ohio, Riley and Judy Boone, Moneta, Roy and JoAnn Boone, Wirtz; two sisters-in-law, Nancy R. and Dale Austin of Rocky Mount, Julia R. and David Brunk of Salem; and two brothers-in-law, C. Abram Rutrough and Martha Ann, Jacob L. Rutrough and Dianne, both of Rocky Mount; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be at Mountain View Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Dugwell Road, Boones Mill from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Mountain View Old German Baptist Brethren Church by the Home Brethren. Interment will follow in the Rutrough Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service, 665 S. Main St., Rocky Mount.
