  Daily Mail, Hagerstown, Maryland, May 27, 1948 JESSE L. HOLMES, well-known resident of Security, died suddenly at his home Thursday, aged 57 years. Born and reared in Knoxville, Md., he was the son of Edward and Elizabeth (Danner) Holmes. He had been residing in Security for the past 32 years. He was employed as a machinist at the Western Maryland Railroad for the past 26 years. He was a member of the Shiloh Evangelical United Brethren Church. He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Keller, and one daughter, Mrs. Edgar Itneyer, Baltimore; sister, Mrs. Mary Fields, Brunswick; two brothers, John and William Holmes, Lovettsville, Va. Funeral services were held at the A.K. Coffman Funeral Home; interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
